a little about me...

I am a first time mom living in Atlanta with my husband Cody.  I work in visual merchandising and have been blogging on the side ever since Mason was born as I way to get my racing thoughts out of my head and somewhere productive.  I decided to start a blog mostly for my own sanity as writing has always been therapeutic for me.  Keeping up with laundry, daycare labels, toys, organic baby food, a full-time job, and husband is exhausting but I tend to excel when I am busy and enjoy the organized chaos of life with my bean.

My husband was my first love when I was 15 years old.  We broke up for over 15 years and reunited at the beginning of 2012 where we instantly picked up where we had left off.  He moved in 2 weeks later, engaged 2 months later, married a year later, and Mason a year and half after getting back together.  It has been an amazing three years with 2 states and 2 homes and I wouldn't change a thing.  We have two cats who also tend to consume too much of our time and try to sleep in Mason's crib every chance they get.

Mason was born 6 weeks early...he had a brief NICU stay which was the hardest thing I ever had to endure and has been thriving ever since.  He is the most amazing and incredible little boy full of smiles and giggles.  I had no idea how much he would change our little world, I had no idea how much I could love someone.  Sometimes I just watch him and smile, trying to soak in each moment with disbelief of how lucky I feel.

Please disregard my grammar as I tend to just get my thoughts out through rapid typing and have an adversity for any and all kinds of editing.

There is nothing that can bring you closer to fearlessness about everything else in the world than being a parent—because everyday fears, like not being approved of, pale by comparison to the fears you have about your children.”
— Arianna Huffington
